We practised doing a pull focus shot. Like the lip sync we practised a pull focus shot in order to successfully do it when we get around to doing our media production. This allows us to be prepared when filming so we waste less time and energy learning how to do it when filming. It also enables us to see how effective a pull focus may be in our music video. We experimented by starting to focus upon my face but then switching the focus from me to my group member. This allowed us a teaser of what to expect to see in the music video and how effective it may be.
We plan to use pull focus in the scene where the artist finds out he has been cheated on. This would be done by first focusing upon the facial expression of the artist and how sad he may be to then switch focus to his partner and the guy who she is cheating on him with . This creates intrigue as to why the artist may be upset but then shows the answer shortly after. It also shows how devastating the revelation ;that the girl he loves is cheating on him,may be.
