When we researched Music videos which related to the theme of love we found that many of these music videos had scenes in which the couple were in parks and inside the comfort of their own homes. Parks often create the atmosphere of peace and serenity. Parks are also often sterotypically thought of as an ideal place for a couple to go to in order to truly be at peace with themselves and also be comfortable with each other. In practical terms its also okay to film in national parks as you dont need to get permission to film in parks so it will be okay to film there . We looked at many parks like Victoria park and Hyde park but we decided to film in Greenwich park as we were already accustomed to the different places within the park as we filmed there last year for our foundation portfolio. Also we felt there was great scenery there which create a romantic feel like some of the pictures below.
From our audience research and research in music videos in our genre we learnt that houses are often used to show love as a couple may be often most comfortable at home. Instead of showing love at home we decided to show loneliness as our music video is themed around betrayal and we needed to show how lonely it may feel after someone has betrayed you . A big empty house with just the artist is the best way to convey this feeling of loneliness. Tahians friend offered us to use his house in our music video and we gladly accepted as we are not a big media instituition so we cannot pick and choose which house we could film in due to financial constraints. Also as it was Tahians friend we may be more comfortable filming and also he would be reliable so will not decide not to let us film which may cause severe disruptions to our filming.
