Casting and Costume

When we decided to cast we wanted to look for an actor who had an mature appearance and would suit our song. This was made more diffucult as we had to look for an actor who looked asian as our song included both english and hindi lyrics. This severely limited our choices so we had to find an asian actor. We also had to identify an actor who was both confident ;as he would need to act in semi intimate scenes, and who has a mature appearance as the theme of our music video is a mature one. He would also need to be comfortable with lip syncing as he would be lip syncing in some scenes. Below are some examples of the appearance we are looking for in an actor. It also shows some of the costumes we may be looking at to include in our music video.

Costume has to be seriously considered as a costume can infer what setting will be seen in the music video. An example of this is a suit will often be seen in a setting where formal clothing will be needed like a business firm or a restaurant. The costume colour can also infer what mood a scene will be for example bright clothing may be used to set a happy mood or tone in the scenes where its worn. Dark clothing can be used to set a more sad mood or tone and can be used to show dark scenes where the characters are all either sad or angry. We decided to use smart clothing when the characters are dining together as the expectation of clothing inside a restaurant is that of smart clothing and audiences expect it. Inside the house the character should wear casual clothing but still look appealing as it will appeal to the target audience. Below are some examples i had in mind .
